Ignorance: The New Faith

Like any red blooded, beer swilling, bacon eating American, I got a full on Patriotic woody when I woke to the news that President Obama gave the green light on a top secret, targeted assassination of the most notorious mass murdering piece of dog shit Since Adolf Hitler. That morning my coffee had never tasted better, my breakfast had never been so filling and delicious and for the first time in as long as I can remember, it was an absolute joy to read the newspaper. In my naivety, the first thought to enter my head was how much this should help unite the American people. We had gained at least some amount of closure for the first time in nearly the decade since our country was shaken to the core by the worst terrorist attack America had ever endured. Surely we can look past the bullshit dominating our thoughts and conversations, surely we can agree this once that justice had been done and we could celebrate as a nation united...Then the alarm buzzer went off and I awoke to reality and all the ignorant, cynical, rhetorical horse shit that goes with it.
The first thing I see on Facebook, posted by a number of people I should have expected it from, is this:



"Let's be clear on this: OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American soldier, who Obama just a few weeks ago was debating on whether or not to PAY, did. Obama just happened to be the one in office when our soldiers finally found OBL and took him out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory!! REPOST IF YOU AGREE!!!!"

First things first..If we ever find the person who initiated the "REPOST IF YOU AGREE" idea we should beat them with padlocks in socks. It reminds me of a little kid saying "Am I right daddy? am I? did I do good Daddy? Do I sound just like you now?" People who repost rhetorical bullshit are just proving they don't have the intellectual capacity to express a thought in their own fucking words. The only time it should be socially acceptable to "repost if you agree" should be in the case of supporting something meaningful like MS research or Autism. Trust me, if you're on facebook enough to repost bullshit propaganda then I'm pretty sure the majority of your friends list already have a pretty good grasp of your beliefs and political leanings. Give it a fucking rest.
Secondly: The above post is correct. Obama did not Kill Bin Laden. and using that same logic Bin Laden did not fly planes into the twin towers on September 11th. If your going to spew your bullshit at least stand by the logic that led you there. If you don't want to give credit to Obama for giving the go-ahead to fly into a foreign nation under cover of night, under radar and without the consent of said country to kill the worlds worst terrorist, then you can't cast blame on the terrorist for giving his men the training, and financial backing to commit a terrorist attack, it doesn't fucking work that way, and if those people who posted this had a wisp of an independent thought they would realize how retarded they sound.
Thirdly: Obama was not "debating" on whether or not to pay soldiers. That's Stupid. Republicans were holding up the budget because they wanted to stop government funding to Planned Parenthood and NPR. Now despite one's feelings about the funding of either of these programs, I hardly think either of them should be considered "serious" enough to delay the budget and a paycheck to soldiers.I think the soldiers would agree no? If you blame one, then blame the fucking other..use your fucking head.

The bottom line is this: The president nominated and appointed Leon Panetta as director of the CIA. He told Panetta to draw out a plan to find Osama Bin Laden, capture him, or kill him. Panetta did so. Panetta, using his people, found, targeted and killed Osama Bin Laden the tools he used to do it were the Navy SEALS. He presented his plan to Obama and after much discussion it was Obama who decided to use a commando strike as oppose to bombing the hell out of a suburb like Bush would have done. Oh yes my fine feathered right wingers...your beloved dumbass was a great one for "collateral damage". So instead of killing an entire neighborhood we killed the target and one or two of his couriers. A decision made by Obama.

Look..I voted for Obama, not because I agreed with everything he represented but because he was the least likely candidate to lead this country into another eight years of corruption, greed and stupidity. Yes I believe he sold out. They all do. Yes I am disappointed in most of his decisions. Yes I would vote against him If a third party candidate would emerge with logical ideas that would help and unite this country, and, had a snow ball's chance in hell of winning an election. In short, I wouldn't vote for Obama if I didn't have to. But I'll be damned If I am going to take credit away from him for ending the life of a malicious, murderous, pile of human excrement that killed nearly three thousand of my countrymen. I'm not taking credit away from the SEALS. they are heroes and I highly doubt they really want people trying to overshadow and AMERICAN victory, with moronic, propaganda about who deserves credit.
